In Case Anyone Is Still Unclear On Media Bias

This is the headline from a Wired News story that was pushed onto my
Google mail page:

“Bush ‘Flat Wrong’ On Kyoto”

Hmm. Well, it’s a hard news story reporting that President Bush has
been conclusively proven wrong in his policy on the environment and
global warming, then, isn’t it? Actually, naive reader, it’s not.
Here’s the first sentence:

“Former President Clinton told a global audience of diplomats,
environmentalists and others Friday that the Bush administration is
“flat wrong” in claiming that reducing greenhouse-gas emissions to
fight global warming would damage the U.S. economy.”

Now, how hard would it have been to make that headline: “Clinton: Bush
is ‘Wrong’ on Kyoto”? I mean, it actually took some amount of effort
to make the headline that misleading.
