Illarianov Resigns

Text

Andrei Illarianov has been the lone voice within the Vladimir Putin’s inner circle of advisors. His influence was diminished in 2005, but he maintained his efforts to urge liberal reforms. Six years on, the situation has changed radically” — and not for the better.
