Schumer’S Opening Statement

Sen. Schumer, like many others, confuses the concept of a “unitary executive branch” with “an executive branch that can do whatever it wants.” The former simply means that any federal entity with law-enforcement authority has to be housed in the executive branch. It has nothing to do with the scope of the executive’s power. (I think others have explained this on NRO, too, but apparently Schumer isn’t reading it. How sad.)
