The Corner

The one and only.

Wilmut put himself down as Lead Author, that is in first in position on the credit line. Not senior researcher, which is in whose lab the work is done, etc., who generally takes the last position on the credit line. So it is a very big deal. By putting his name first, he took at least implied credit for doing the actual cloning, when Keith Campbell (who was given senior researcher credit) should have been lead author and received the glory. That is what Wilmut was admitting today. It was misleading and he has never, as far as I know, let the public know he did not actually clone Dolly.
