DRINKING WITH ROMAN

Text

Kathryn, I’ll be glad to join Derb and Roman for a few vodkas, and if those run out we can turm to the splendidly Soviet cocktail described in Venedikt Erofeyev’s “Moscow Stations.”  Known as “Tears of a Komsomol Girl”  its ingredients are mouthwash, nail polish, lemon soda, lavender toilet water, verbena and herbal lotion.

Mmmm.
