RE: Defending Thomas

On the question of Clarence Thomas’s judicial philosophy (and intelligence) folks should take a look at Jan Crawford Greenburg’s discussion of Thomas in her recent book Supreme Conflict. She argues he gets far too little credit for not only his way of thinking about the law, but for moving the Court in his direction on key cases. She also discussed Thomas at some length in a recent lecture at the Ethics and Public Policy Center—you can download the audio here.
