re: Rudy and Polls


Howard Dean did himself in, rather spectacularly, and I certainly wouldn’t expect that a talented, tested candidate like Rudy Giuliani to do the same.  But he wouldn’t have to.  Say he came in third in Iowa (or fourth?)  in Iowa.  The interesting thing about that late 2003 Harris poll is John Kerry’s standing.  He had been in double-digits in October – then at 4 percent in December.  But he sure got a big second look from Democrats who had been immune to his charms after he won Iowa.
