Everybody loves Ramesh but . . . I really don’t see how the superiority of English healthcare is demonstrated by the failure to diagnose more cases of prostrate cancer. 

As Hitchens might say, he must have meant something more intelligent than that.

I did! I hold no brief for the superiority of British health care. I think the British system is pretty bad, actually, and the most thoughtful supporters of national health care are looking to other countries for models these days. My point was only that the data that Giuliani used to demonstrate the superiority of American to British health care do not do so, because they are a statistical artifact. Sorry if I was unclear.
