Racial Exclusion by NYC DoEd

Yesterday, the Center for Individual Rights filed a class action lawsuit against the New York City Department of Education challenging the Department’s policy of excluding Asian American and white students from a test preparation course because of their race.  You can read all about it here: NYC DoEd seems to have been caught red-handed with a racially exclusive program, which is quite illegal under the Supreme Court’s latest decisions this year regarding the Seattle and Louisville school districts, and its University of Michigan decisions in 2003.  Kudos to CIR for bringing the suit, and to the parent plaintiffs it is representing, both of whom are willing to challenge this p.c. nonsense.
