More Stem-Cell Silliness

This blogger is accusing me of quoting myself out of context. No. When I said that proponents of embryo-destructive research had done what they could to minimize the potential of alternative approaches, I meant only that they had argued, to my mind unpersuasively, that they had little potential. They might have been moved to do that by simple error or by having invested so heavily in the notions that embryo-destructive research was the way forward, that methods of research touted by their opponents were blind alleys, etc.
