Richard Cohen vs. Mike Huckabee

Richard Cohen writes that it was intolerant–and, although his writing is uncharacteristically opaque, he seems to suggest that it was also un-Christian–for Mike Huckabee to refuse to say that Mitt Romney is a Christian. But surely the important question is whether Huckabee would tolerate other Christian churches or non-Christian churches, not whether he classifies a particular church as one or the other. And surely we should be able to tolerate other people’s classification schemes. Cohen’s attack on Huckabee ends up being nothing more than an expose of the vacuity of his own conception of tolerance.
