What Huck Stands For

Their motivation may be obvious, but the lefties over at Mother Jones have been asking some of the right questions (those pesky sermons, for example) about what it is exactly that Mike Huckabee stands for. Their reporter David Corn has now taken the trouble to read a book that the governor co-wrote in 1998.  What he has ‘discovered’ make interesting reading. I put ‘discovered’ in quotes, because some of what Corn cites is far from a revelation — Gov. Huckabee is a hardline social conservative saying (like it or not) what hardline social conservatives sometimes may say. Even so, this sentence was quite striking:

“It is now difficult to keep track of the vast array of publicly endorsed and institutionally supported aberrations—from homosexuality and pedophilia to sadomasochism and necrophilia.”
