Your Christmas Present to the U.N.

by Clifford D. May

Claudia Rosett notes that a U.N. press release was headlined “General Assembly approves nearly $4.2 billion UN budget despite US Opposition.” Indeed, the vote was 142 to 1.

What needs to be kept in mind by those of us who (A) care about the preservation of American sovereignty and (B) oppose having foreign bureaucrats impose taxes on American citizens is that almost one-fourth of that record-busting budget will come from the pockets of American taxpayers. You don’t have a choice. Libya, Iran, Cameroon, and friends have outvoted you.

Is there not one candidate running for President who thinks this is a problem requiring a solution? Or do they all think we should just shut up and pay the man?
