Roger Clemens testified at a deposition yesterday on baseball’s steroids problem. I don’t know exactly what he said, but in a statement afterward, he suggested that he testified that he never used steroids or other performance enhancing drugs. Well, today, there is this. I’d like to go on record that all of this allegedly took place after he left the Red Sox (for present purposes, I’m willing to suggest his 20 strikeout performance late in his last season in Boston was just a really good day for him), and confirms the Yankees place in the sewers of baseball. (For the record, I never was much of a Patriots fan, so the “Go Giants!” taunts in return won’t bother me that much.)
The one and only.
