The Corner

The one and only.

The Bellwether

Rasmussen has new numbers from Missouri today that again demonstrate how much John McCain is gaining from the odd dynamic of the moment — as the two Democrats just keep bashing each other while he stays out of the limelight. In a one-on-one match with Senator Clinton in Missouri, McCain leads by nine points. Matched with Obama, he leads by fifteen.

The internals are pretty painful for Obama. He gets only two thirds of Democrats in the state (Hillary wins just under 80% of them), and trails McCain by nine points among women (where Clinton leads McCain by five).

It’s early. It’s one poll. But still.
