Punishing Babies Born Alive


According to Time, during a town hall meeting yesterday in Albuquerque, Obama claimed, “Everywhere I go, people tell me, ‘Oh, I’m getting nervous. The Republicans — they’re so mean. What are we going to do?’”

No doubt Obama supporters would consider it mean to ask Obama to expand upon the following statement in the context of his vote against the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act (and his evolving “explanations” therefor):

I’ve got two daughters, 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.
