It’s worth noting, by the way, that the CQ figure for how often a senator voted with President Bush is based on a study of just 22% of all Senate votes during the Bush presidency. The president is not a senator, after all, and does not express a position on most votes in the Senate, so it’s hard to say how much the figure really means.
