Debating Community Organizers

Last week Byron York and I appeared on a panel called “Mr. Obama’s Neighborhood,” with two Obama-supporting South Chicago community organizers. The debate was lively at times, and our views of community organizing were often polar opposites. I went at the organizers fairly hard in several exchanges. The panel was filmed by CSPAN, although I don’t know when it will be broadcast. You can read the transcript here.

My presentation offers a good deal of evidence that Barack Obama’s Gamaliel Foundation link is yet another example of his connection to a set of anti-American ideologues with a worldview quite like that of Jeremiah Wright. How many of these instances do we need before it becomes obvious that this is a serious pattern? You can read more about the themes raised by my remarks in my essay for National Review, “Senator Stealth.”
