McCain is doing a good job on taxes, though it could be done differently. Comparing Obama’s desire to raise taxes during a recession to Herbert Hoover and saying that pinning down Obama’s plans are like nailing jello to the wall are clever.

Obama should be using the entitlement question to explain his views on entitlements. What is this nonsense about most businesses not making more than $250,000 per year? The relevant businesses are the small (not infinitesmal) ones which employ under ten workers, and which are the true backbone of the economy. Taxing those businesses more will cause unemployment very quickly, since they have small margins.

Good for McCain to go straight to dealing with entitlements when asked.

I am shocked and pleased to say that McCain is doing much better than Obama. Always better to be the underdog.
