Popular But Not Sound

Several folks here have commented on Joe Biden’s warning that electing Obama would invite severe tests from our enemies. My second favorite Bidenism of the day, though, has to be this bit, which came later in the same event, describing how people would react when an Obama administration makes decisions:

There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don’t know about that decision’,” Biden continued. “Because if you think the decision is sound when they’re made, which I believe you will when they’re made, they’re not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they’re popular, they’re probably not sound.

But he doesn’t wink, so he’s a statesman.
