Final 2008 Digs at Palin?
An early version of the AP story on Sarah Palin’s grandson was pretty bad. Apparently someone noticed, because it has since changed. Last night, it read: “The teenage daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, whose quest for the vice presidency began to go downhill the day she announced the pregnancy, has given birth to a son, a magazine reported Monday.”
It now reads: “The daughter of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has given birth to a son, a magazine reported Monday.” And later: “The announcement that the unmarried Bristol Palin, 17 at the time, was pregnant immediately drew concerns that it could damage Palin’s credibility as a religious conservative. But many observers noted the pregnancy served to humanize the Palins and showcase the candidate’s rejection of abortion.”
