Chesterton Bleg

Text

I am in the familiar situation of half-remembering a line of G. K. Chesterton’s (familiar, because he wrote so many good ones, and scattered them among so many not-good ones).

It goes something like: Friendships bring us together with people who are like ourselves, but families bring us together with people who are not like ourselves. I believe GKC may have said that it is the purpose of families to do this.

Ring a bell?
