A Shotgun Blast to the Face of the Green Movement
. . . from, of all places, our friends at The New Republic. Or, more fairly, from enviro-heretics Ted Nordhaus and Michael Shellenberger. While I am always uncomfortable with socio-political narratives like this (unmoored as they are by any real proof to back up the story lines being offered), their explanation for why the Greens recently have surged — and why they are now in free fall — strikes me as correct.
I look forward to reading the comment board over there. So far, it’s exactly what I would expect . . . but it is early in the day.
By the way, for a strong argument that a decent respect for human well-being means fossil fuels and not cap & trade, see this tour de force from my friend Indur Goklany.
