Jersey’s Primary

A Democratic group is spending $900,000 to air this ad on television against former U.S. Attorney Chris Christie (R) for six days in advance of the June 2 GOP gubernatorial primary.

On the one hand, you can look at it as Democrats’ attempt to prevent Christie from winning the primary, because he has a bigger lead against unpopular incumbent Gov. Jon Corzine (D) than does former Bogota Mayor Steve Lonegan (R). On the other hand, you can look at it as the sort of thing Democrats will use against Christie, should he become the nominee.
