Liberals Losing It

Liberals can’t face the possibility that they are losing public support on health care because they are losing the debate–let alone that it’s because their plans are crummy. So their setbacks have to be explained by sinister “astroturfing,” or racism, or–in Steven Pearlstein’s column today–a campaign of lies. All Pearlstein demonstrates is that if you assume at the outset that all conservative arguments on health care are so without merit that nobody could possibly sincerely believe them, you can make a case that conservatives are bad people. I comment further here.
