Anti-Gun Nuts

This is the silliest argument I’ve ever seen against guns — actually, the silliest argument I’ve seen on anything in some time. (And I read Jacob Weisberg on the “GOP Death Machine.”) Susan Brooks Thistlethwaite is writing about pastors and rabbis who bring guns to their places of worship for self-protection, but her argument — that they are putting their trust in guns rather than God and thus worshiping them — applies to any believer who takes steps to protect himself: Religious believers in the Armed Forces shouldn’t use armor, and believers who own homes shouldn’t have locks.
