Today on Uncommon Knowledge, Steven Hayward, author of The Age of Reagan: The Conservative Counter Revolution 1980-1989 For all his accomplishments, Hayward argues, Reagan failed to roll back the New Deal in any significant way at all.

If Reagan failed in a permanent alignment the way Roosevelt did with the New Deal, it was because the Republican Party, its successors, and even Reagan himself were not a full-fledged Constitutional movement.  That is what we need to get back to today.
