I’ve been trying to catch up on my magazine reading over the holidays. Naturally, a great place to start (other than the current fantabulous issue of National Review) is the latest Claremont Review of Books. There are several excellent pieces in this issue, starting with Bill Voegeli’s outsanding big-think piece on California’s demise.
My preferred solution: Break it up into at least two states, maybe three. Besides all of the other reasons, the stimulus for the American flag industry will be huge.
Update: On second thought, from a reader:
Give California four of six senators, instead of two?
