When President Bush created the faith-based office at the White House, some critics worried that, rather than helping religiously affiliated groups better carry out their own humanitarian and social service work, the office would use churches to advance the administration’s political message. I think it’s fair to say that Bush’s faith-based office did no such thing, but it turns out the same cannot be said for the Obama administration’s version of the office.

As my colleague Meghan Clyne shows in the new Weekly Standard, the Obama faith-based office is proposing to use religious institutions around the country to push the administration’s climate-change agenda.
