Let the Bidding War Begin . . .

by Michael Rubin

Even before the Obama administration stopped congratulating itself on the power of their diplomacy, the Russian government threw cold water on the celebration by saying that they might still sell the advanced S-300 missile system to Iran, since the anti-aircraft system was defensive in nature.

What we’re now seeing is the Kremlin launching a bidding war between the United States and Iran.  To win this fourth round of sanctions, the Obama administration sold out Poland, the Czech Republic, and Georgia.  As Iran ups what it’s willing to pay and the contracts it’s willing to give Moscow, what other allies does the White House have to trade away?

Heaven help President Obama if he ever has to purchase a used car. The way he bargains, he’d end up spending $100,000 to purchase a Ford Pinto with a wheel missing.
