Down on the Street

by Seth Leibsohn

Once upon a time we called this “community organizing.” Will much be said today by the man who used to care about what was said on the street — the “Muslim street,” for example?  Or the Georgetown street, even?

Here is a picture taken just now from a march down M Street in Georgetown. “Down with the Islamic Republic,” “Human rights for Iran,” “No more meeting with terrorists,” “Neda is our voice, freedom is our choice” were the chants.  The chant from the White House, on the president’s weekly radio address today, was about “fair play for doctors.”
