Self-Defeating Hyperbole

The open-border lefties denouncing calls to reassess birthright citizenship for the children of illegals aren’t doing themselves any favors. I loved this nugget from Ali Noorani, head of the National Immigration Forum, one of Washington’s main open-borders coalitions:

“It puts the United States of America on the brink of legalizing apartheid,” he said.

Hmmm — South Africa doesn’t give citizenship to the children of illegal aliens, so has it “legalized apartheid”?

This one’s even better — Subhash Kateel, “a community organizer with the Florida Immigrant Coalition in Miami,” said the following:

“The discussion of taking away citizenship is unconstitutional, un-American and flat-out racist.”

So, discussing a change to the Constitution is unconstitutional? These guys aren’t helping themselves.
