Today’s Jobs Numbers

Text

The jobs report today was a good bit better than I expected, and significantly reduces fears that we are dropping into another steep economic decline. To be sure, it still looks a good deal worse than we should be seeing at this stage of the recovery, but if it were 100,000 jobs worse, we would be into the precipice. Sadly, backing away from the precipice is about as good as it gets right now.
