I have a question about Abe Lincoln the lawyer. In 1854 or thereabouts, he defended a group of temperance-minded ladies who were arrested for trashing a saloon in Marion, Ill. That’s about the extent of what I know. Can anybody else fill out the story–or, better yet, point me toward an authoritative source on the case? If so, please e-mail me at nrorocks at yahoo dot com.
