The Profanity Strategy

If you can’t beat ’em, curse ’em? That seems to be the campaign strategy of Rep. Patrick Murphy, a two-term Democrat from the Philadelphia suburbs. In this clip from Roll Call, Murphy shamelessly uses profane language to rile up a union audience (starts around the 2:00 mark):

For a moment I thought that said, "Dems Really Base in PA." Works either way, really.

If Rep. Murphy is trying to rally a bunch of union members, he is preaching to the choir 3 weeks before the election. Talk about operating in an increasingly smaller universe.

I have a hard time working up a lather over this "profanity", especially coming from an ex soldier. This is Middle School level cussing at best.

I still think he's wrong on the merits, of course.
