Democratic Rep: ‘I Voted for McCain’

Mississippi Democrat Rep. Gene Taylor told the Sun Herald he voted for John McCain for president:

Reporter Maria Recio told The Hill that when asked if he voted for the Democratic nominee in 2008, Taylor said “I did not vote for Obama. I voted for Sen. McCain. Better the devil you know.”

Taylor’s confession could have something to do with the fact that McCain won his district with 67 percent of the vote in 2008, and that Cook now has Taylor’s battle with Republican state Rep. Steve Palazzo as a toss-up.
