If I were Schumer, I'd see it as a blessing in disguise. The Senate is going to be a mess to lead - like hot liquid jell-o. Who would want that task? I imagine Harry Reid is wondering if he should have been more careful with what he wished for.
There are a high # of Dem Senators from RED turf - MT, AR, MO, OH, FL, NE, SD, ND - and 24 total - who will face re-election in 2012. It'll be fun to see if Reid can bribe them ALL with kickbacks to keep them in line after the drubbing they just took. The GOP will need 3-4 cross-overs on any issue to block a majority. And they can't then be blamed for partisan obstruction.
Actually, I liked the original larger type face in bold that these two words first appeared in. Made the point.

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI think media outlets like this one should start running banners that ask, "Will the Democrats allow Harry Reid to keep his Majority Leader Position?"
Doubt they'll pull the trigger on Harry...the Senate is a bit too much of a club. But it would be fun to stir the pot, don't you think?
