More Gillespie

Gillespie also addressed Sarah Palin’s recent criticism of him. Informed that Gillespie had said that the Republicans should try to repeal those parts of Obamacare that increase premiums and shift people from private to public insurance, Palin said the idea was “out of touch.” Gillespie says he is not sure that the governor was fully informed about what he had said. “It doesn’t mean that I don’t favor repealing other parts of it too.” Gillespie says Obamacare should be repealed in total and replaced with free-market reforms, just as Palin advocated in her own remarks.

He also said that the 2012 race would be “a conflict of visions,” quoting Thomas Sowell.
