GOP Picks Up 62nd Seat

Rep. Solomon Ortiz (D.,Texas), a 14-term incumbent, conceded defeat to Republican Blake Farenthold late last night after a recount he requested failed to close the 600-plus vote gap between the candidates, handing Republicans their 62nd pickup in the House. Four additional seats remained to be determined.
