Apparently, Senator Snowe has now said she’ll vote no on DREAM, and the plans of the pro-amnesty folks were based on her voting yes. According to Numbers USA, this is her statement:
“Millions of illegal immigrants could attempt to become legal residents as a result of this proposal, according to some estimates, and it is incumbent upon the Senate to ensure our policies never again lead to a situation where we are confronted with upwards of 12 million illegal immigrants residing within our borders.”
And with that, the Tea Party will no longer target Snowe with a primary challenge.....
Nope......naganadowit. Read my lips.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseIt's remarkable what seeing your fellow Senator sacked at your State's Republican convention will do to focus your mind...
Senator Hatch, once an advocate of the DREAM Act... the lead sponsor in fact, decides this time around he'd rather keep his job in 2012 and votes "NO"....
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseMickey Kaus is still unconvinced this thing won't pass. That concerns me.
