“The four-year-old state Division of Minority and Women Business Development has been quietly dismantled by the administration of Gov. Chris Christie, which continues to register small businesses and help them obtain state government contracts on a race- and gender-neutral basis,” according to NJ Biz (subscription required). Meanwhile, the Obama administration has issued its regulations on “Minority and Women Inclusion” by the Federal Housing Finance Agency, which are just awful — though it must be said that the underlying statutes here are just awful, too.
Thank God. If there's one thing I know about the rewarding of state contracts in New Jersey historically, it's been a wondrous example of a transparent meritocracy. Thankfully Christie has restored it. (Cue the theme song to Boardwalk Empire)

Its time we got rid of all of these reverse discrimination departments and laws.
Its 2011 and time we hire people based upon who is best qualified and not due to their ethnicity or skin color and stop wasting all this time and money on make work bureaucratic positions that should never have existed in the first place.
If you want to see where your tax money is being wasted look no further than this article on how our Federal Government just hired an "Associate Director for Women and Minority Inclusion for $255,000 Plus Massive Benefits and Retirement. You can read about it and view screen shots of the position and benefits at the Clark County Libertarian Party Website here:

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI like Christie to be president.
...But I do not want Ron Paul to be anywhere near executive power. He is too much of a flaming idiot.
How 'bout Christie and Jindal? We can still see the spectacle of Biden (If he is still veep in 2012.) having to repeat his remark about 7-11 owners to Governor Jindal...
