Jonah, Jim, and I recorded the first edition of “The Balcony” this morning. We discuss Boehner, the Constitution, health care, and why Ramesh blew us off.
Awesome guys! Will definitely listen everyday. I like the "Three Martini Lunch" Jim does and the Ricochet podcast as well as Uncommon Knowledge.

1. You need catchy intro music
2. You need a common structural theme to the podcast like what Jim and Greg do on the "Three Martini Lunch." It doesn't have to be gimicky, just a common structure so that the listener knows what to expect/look-forward to.
3. Hmmm, I'd change the picture of you three. You look like your in the orchestra row, not the balcony. Thinking of the two old guys from the original Muppet Show...
I look forward to more of these. I will say that you can hear the fact that none of you can see each other. You can tell its more of a recorded conference call than a live gathering. It's still great material - I'll listen anyway but if you can ever get together live it will be better.
Great opening salvo, I too will look forward to further editions.
I was going to suggest the "Peanut Gallery' and then Jonah said it, so now I will have to come up with something else.
And yes, Rich, you sounded tinny, kinda like being at 5 atmospheres in the Submarine Escape training tank (if its still there) in Groton, CT.
It was a great ensemble even lacking Ramesh--in fact maybe three should be the limit since Jonah hogged so much time, barely allowing Jim to get in until Rich "pointedly" brought him in. Hey, don't get me wrong, I love Jonah and his giggle, but perhaps four guys or gals if you get K-Lo or Veronique in on this, would be a bit too ocnfusing.
Since Android phones have been outselling iPhones since last summer, an RSS feed for Google Reader (which integrates with Google Listen on Android phones) ought to be a priority.
Of course, as an owner of a Droid, I'm only a little bit biased.
Thank you for the podcast - eagerly looking forward to listening! Is this a daily, weekly, or fortnightly edition? :)

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseIs there an iTunes subscribe link? I'd like to follow, please!
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI just learned from Lowry's Twitter feed that it will be on iTunes starting next week. I expect to learn when I've been fired from his tweets as well.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseA balcony? And no Waldorf and Statler!?!?
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseRich Lowry can't bring himself to join the riff-raff here in the comments, but he can tweet responses? Not quite sure what to make of that...
I did enjoy it though, and look forward to subscribing in iTunes.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseA link to an RSS feed would be good too for those of us who don't have iPhones.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseNice. Just the right note and furthers the growing image of conservatives as the true intellectual vanguard of political thought. And fun.

Reply to this commentLinkReport Abusethx guys. as jonah mentions, next week's version will be on itunes
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI think you should call it "The Right Stuff" and make the discussion a weekly event. It was a lot of fun hearing the three of you banter about.
It makes me wish I didn't live in Portland,Oregon. I could then discuss politics without becoming sad for the direction of humanity!
Imagine every other person thinking exactly like Ezra Klein and you will get the picture.
First Chicago, now Portland, I guess my next stop is New York!
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseThere's "The Corner," how about calling the podcast "The Stoop?"
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseVery clever, guys. :) I think this will be a hit with Your target audience. :)
