Word just went out that the House Rules Committee will begin marking up a yet-unnumbered, but self-explanatory measure called “To Reduce Spending Through a Transition to Non-Security Spending at Fiscal Year 2008 Levels.”
"To Reduce Spending Through a Transition to Non-Security, Non-Entitlement, Non-Earmarked, Non-Special Interest Group Spending at Fiscal Year 2008 Levels"
because, I'll bet, that is what "Through a Transition" really means.
I hope that this spending bill finds its way to the floor. More importantely, I hope that the House Republicans have the courage to stand behind it when the opposition begins it's attack on it. Past Republican resolve have left a lot to be desired.
