The New Era of Civility

Speaking to a union rally in Boston yesterday, Rep. Michael Capuano (a Democratic member of the U.S. House) told the crowd:

I’m proud to be here with people who understand that it’s more than just sending an email to get you going. Every once in a while you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary.
No word yet on precisely which Sarah Palin Facebook post made him so angry.

Isn't that pretty close to incitement to riot? Seeking to stir up, rouse three or more people to act for mutual assistance with the use of violence?

I'm sure it was something said on one of Mrs. Palin's "secret" Facebook profiles, in which she subliminally influences the whole of online culture without anyone being the wiser. Fiendish!

Civility was great while it lasted. Stay classy, Mr. Capuano.

It really makes you wonder if it's not true what some say about the Dems -- that the goal is a scorched-earth Bolshevik-style revolution. When you hear them talk and watch them operate you want to dismiss it all as entitlement-driven anger or economic ignorance. But sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. And that worries me.

In the meantime the lefties will continue to put or words under a microscope, ever on the lookout for the merest hint of latent anger. LOL

One thing for sure is that no one at NR is going to demand Capuano resign.
Not Daniel Foster.
Not Jonah ("Policing the Right") Goldberg
Not Rich Lowry, who will be too busy explaining the full context of the remarks if he notices them at all.
And not anyone else.
You can imagine the frenzy at NR if a Republican has said that.
Sorry about the double standard criticism. Couldn't resist.

He definitely encouraging violence. He should be arrested, because he's at least as dangerous as that little kid making stick drawings.

We can count on Rep. Capuano to keep his precious self out of harm's way.

I now demand that Representative Capuano resign from Congress immediately as having shown by his public utterances that he is no longer fit for public office.

Glad to see someone else has the same thoughts I do. I've been thinking that for a long time.

I mean, when are we going to start taking these people at their word. Kind of like taking the Islamists at their word.

Why do we always assume that they couldn't possibly mean what they just said?

I've heard it from leftie leaders and I've heard it way more from the usual anonymous lefty posters on all kinds of forums.

The lefty base is itching for a fight.

Problem for them is, we're better equipped. ;-D

That remark from a 'leader' in government, does promote violence. And noone in the LSM will report on it.

Imagine having a ‘free press’ that, besides the op/ed/comments pages, printed the unbiased whole truth to the best of their ability.

Yeah, I can’t either.
