Madison, Wis. — Hundreds of Madison-area college students stormed the state capitol at noon. They were led by Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D., Wis.), the town’s representative in the U.S. House and a prominent Midwestern liberal. NRO was in the middle of their march up State Street:
Some students wore face paint, one beside Baldwin wore a pro-Palestine scarf, and most toted anti-Walker signs. The chants were loud, their voices fierce, and the air frigid. But things in Madison continue to simmer. Later this afternoon, police will attempt to remove mattresses and other sleepover items from under the rotunda. It could be a wild scene.
