Back at Guantanamo Bay

(Reuters) – President Barack Obama issued an order on Monday that establishes a process for continuing to hold detainees at the Guantanamo Bay prison who have not been charged, convicted or designated for transfer.

The White House also said the administration would issue an order rescinding Obama’s suspension of the filing of new charges in the military tribunals at Guantanamo.

It is amazing. After 16 months of review we end up at essentially the same place we started. After years of harshly criticizing President Bush, President Obama now continues his policies. The least he could do is say “I’m sorry” or “Thank you.”
