Time for Some Earl Weaver Epistemology

If the legendary longtime manager of the Baltimore Orioles, Earl Weaver, were a member of the White House press corps, he might well try to illuminate Obama’s Libya policy with the same question he often posed to umpires: “Are you going to get any better, or is this it?”

Over at the Power Line Blog this morning, I explain briefly why Obama’s decision to hand off command of the Libya operation to NATO — a clear attempt to vote “present” yet again — is possibly unconstitutional, as it violates the Commander-in-Chief clause of Article II. Congressional critics should bore in on this rather than the War Powers Act (which is almost certainly unconstitutional itself).
