Beginner’s Luck

So I completed my maiden voyage on the seas of radio hosting this morning (WMAL630). My co-host, Bryan Nehman, did all of the technical heavy lifting and made it easy for me not to look (er, sound) too stupid. It was fun. I’d do it again. But the pre-pre-dawn schedule is very rough for me. And the morning drive-time format isn’t ideal for me. Or at least I think that’s the case. For talk radio there’s actually not a lot of room to talk, what with all the traffic and weather on the tens and whatnot.

Still, I’m glad I gave it a try. I’m glad I didn’t totally screw up. And, given the right timing and opportunity, I’d gladly do it again. But I’m not quitting my day job(s) anytime soon.
