The Corner

The one and only.

Credit Where It’s Due

Text

On Friday, I blogged about New York University’s sponsorship of an academic conference featuring Stalinists. I linked to my source, but it turns out that my source lifted a substantial amount of its material–without attribution–from a column by Ronald Radosh that had appeared about a week earlier in the New York Post.

Ron is one of America’s great scholars of Communism. He brought this problem to my attention over the weekend. If I had known about my source’s failure to acknowledge Ron’s work, I never would have cited it on The Corner. I apologize for letting it happen–and happily recommend Ron’s original article, which is in fact a much better piece of work.
