Some rough clips I shot with my cell phone at Ground Zero last night, between 1 to 3 a.m.
The crowd sings the Star Spangled Banner.
A soldier climbs a traffic light and leads the crowd in chanting U.S.A., U.S.A. That traffic light was used a lot last night — it was just about the only place someone could get high enough to command the attention of the crowd. (A few people also sat on a phone booth further down the block to get a view of the scene.)
Another clip of the man playing bagpipes, along with the crowd eventually starting another U.S.A. chant.
Bagpipers playing Amazing Grace, while crowd sings along.
Any liberals in the crowd (and, this being NY, most of them are liberals) are celebrating BHO, not the death of OBL. They should be ashamed of themselves, as should BHO for that shamelessly self-serving speech last night.
C'mon DHL, are you serious? This was a great victory for America, can't we celebrate that? Maybe some of them were celebrating BHO and not the death of OBL, but to say that any liberals and that most were because NYC were thinking that is ignorant. It's unfortunate that Obama will get the credit for a mission that he was barely involved with.
